Turkey continues to build “wall of shame” on the Rojava border

Turkish state continues to build “wall of shame” on the Rojava border.

The Turkish state continues its enmity against the Kurds in the face of the Rojava Revolution as well. In an Israel-esque fashion, “walls of shame” have started going up on Turkey’s borderline between the Kurds on the two sides. The state is trying to separate the Kurds with the ditches added to the concrete walls erected in 2014.

The concrete slabs for the “walls of shame” are being mass produced in Mardin’s Kızıltepe district. The slabs are produced in a location close to the the brick factory across the airport and transported to the border line with unmarked trucks.

The slabs are transported to the Rojava border via İpekyolu and erected next to the ditches. The people are protesting the walls but the government continues building the 3 meters high, 2,5 meters deep walls.

Meanwhile, reports say a wall was also being built on the road between districts Artuklu and Kızıltepe.
