The AKP government, failing to make the Kurdish people and the Kurdish Freedom Movement surrender, attempts every way possible to continue with their genocidal operations.
The operation conducted by the Turkish army with 10 thousand soldiers, police and village guards in Lice, Genç and Kulp continues for days. It has come to light that imams have been brought along in the operations conducted with special forces brought in from western provinces for the last 20 days. The Berdan hamlet imam and Totaniya village imam in Kulp district have been involved in the operations and they are reported to be serving in village guards cadres as well.
With the imams partaking in the operations, mosques were left empty during Ramadan. Villagers protested the fact that people stationed in religious duty participate in military operations.
