Turkish airstrike results in injuries in a village of Shengal

Turkey continues to attack parts of Kurdistan in violation of international law.

The invading Turkish state has carried out an aerial bombardment in the Yazidi town of Shengal (Sinjar) in Southern Kurdistan, Northern Iraq on Sunday.

According to information obtained from sources in Shengal, the attack was carried out at around 18:30 local time and targeted a car belonging to “Nasir al-Mubin” forces in the village of Xelef in the Barê town.

The attack has reportedly resulted in injuries, while details were not immediately available.

Local residents rushed to the scene after the bombardment and made a statement condemning the Turkish state. They emphasized that the Turkish state will not be able to intimidate the people of Shengal with these attacks.

The local people also vowed to “insist on struggle and resist against all violent attacks of the fascist and genocidal Turkish state”.
