Turkish army and jihadist gangs continue to attack Rojava

YPG announced that the Turkish army and jihadist gangs continue to attack Rojava with heavy weaponry.

YPG Media Center announced that Syrian National Council affiliates Sultan Murad Brigade, Ahrar Al-Sham, 16th Battalion, Al-Fetih Brigade, Sultan Mihemed Al Fetih Brigade, Al Mucahidin Army, Suwar Al-Sham, Ahrar Suruye, Jabhat Al Shamiye, Siqor Al Jabal, 101th Battalion, Foc Alewal, Jabhat Al-Turkmen, Ebû Emera Battalion, Al Islam Army, Festeqim Kema Emert Group, 13th Brigade, Al Shemaliye Battalion and Nûreddîn Zenkî Brigade continue their joint attacks on Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.

In its statement, YPG said that the gangs shelled Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood on the night of May 26. There were no casualties but material damage was inflicted during the attacks.

YPG Media Center stated that the Turkish army continued its attacks on Rojava and attacked Ziyaret village to the west of Kobanê with heavy weaponry at 18:30 on May 26.

YPG said that ISIS gangs attacked the area to the west of Tişrîn dam with heavy weaponry between 08:00 and 11:00 on May 26 and at 00:00 and 06:00 on May 27. ISIS gangs also attacked the Şêxler town of Kobanê from their positions to the south of Jarablus at 11:00 on May 26 and the village of Qereqozax at 10:00 on the same day.

Lastly, YPG stated that its forces carried out an operation on ISIS positions to the south of Jarablus at 21:00 on May 26, and the numbers of dead and injured gangs have not yet been clarified.
