Turkish army attack on graves of guerrillas protested in Bismil

A protest was held against the Turkish soldiers’ attack on the graves of YPG and HPG fighters in Bismil.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Bismil District Branch protested the Turkish soldiers’ attack on the night of March 29 against the cemetery in the Kazanci (Kaniya Kurda) neighborhood where HPG and YPG members are buried.

“NO POWER IN HISTORY EVER DID THIS”

Despite the army blockade, HDP and DBP district administrators and dozens of civilians went to the cemetery where HDP District Co-chair Refai Baran gave a speech and said: “No power in history has carried out such attacks against Kurdish cemeteries like this. These cemeteries haven’t killed anyone, stolen from anyone. This is a civilian people, and these are the children of the region. Their only crime is to be Kurdish, to lose their lives in Kurdistan and to have their date of birth and death inscribed on their stones in Kurdish. This mindset has no tolerance for the truth of the people.”

Baran condemned the attack and said, “The pharaohs and dictators of the times will be defeated.”
