Turkish soldiers attacked the graves of guerrillas in Bismil

Yet another attack on the graves of Kurdish martyrs in Turkey.

Turkish soldiers laid siege to the cemetery in Kazancı (Haciya Kurdan) neighborhood in Bismil district of Amed Friday night.

Playing the Turkish Mehter military march on loudspeakers in armored vehicles, soldiers attacked the cemetery and tore down the tombstones of the HPG guerrillas buried in the graveyard.

Despite the fact that attacks on cemeteries constitute a war crime, the Turkish state is systematically attacking graves of the Kurdish people and their martyrs. During the recent years, graves of dozens of guerrillas have been attacked and demolished in the attacks of the Turkish regime forces. Even bodies of several guerrillas were taken out of their graves and taken to other places.

Turkish regime forces are also abducting the bodies of guerrillas and political prisoners in an attempt to prevent people from joining the funerals for their martyrs.
