Turkish army bombards Helhel village in Amed

Turkish soldiers shelled and bombarded the Helhel village of Amed’s Hazro district. Many houses were damaged but villagers luckily survived the attack.

After Amed Governorate declared a curfew in 8 villages across Lice, Hani and Kocaköy districts this morning, Turkish soldiers launched an operation and shelled and bombarded the Helhel village of Hazro, where no curfew had been declared.

Many houses were damaged and a fire broke out after the attack. Luckily, no villagers got hurt during the bombardment, which still continues.

Local sources report that Helhel villagers are scared for their lives, and have documented the bombardment with their mobile phones.
