Turkish army continues shelling guerrilla areas

People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office has reported in a written statement that the bombardments launched by Turkish troops against guerrilla areas, as well as the reconnaissance flights by Turkish unmanned aerial vehicles continued.

HPG firstly reported the bombardments launched from Turkish military posts at the borders of guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones with mainly howitzers and mortars. Accordingly,

Bezelê military post at Zagros region’s border shelled Çarçel Hill at between 15.30 - 19.00 on September 2.

Sivri Hill military post at Avashin area’s border shelled Sor Hill area at between 17.00 - 18.30 on September 2.

Oremar military post shelled Martyr Bager area at 16:50 on September 2.

Grana military post shelled Mêrgê area at 16:50 on September 2.

Bilican military post at Zap region’s border opened random fire on Garêya Biçuk area and its surroundings at between 17.00 - 18.00 and 21.00 - 22.00 on September 2.

AERIAL ACTIVITIES BY TURKISH AIRCRAFT

According to the statement by HPG, Turkish aircraft conducted reconnaissance flights over the following areas;

-Zap region at between 16.00 - 17.00 on September 2 and at between 21:00 on September 2 and 05:00 on September 3,

-Heftanin area at between 13.30 - 18.00 on September 2,

-Avashin area at between 14:00 on September 2 and 11:00 on September 3,

-Gare area at between 00.00 - 02.00 on September 3.

HPG lastly reported that Turkish jets carried out flights over Avashin area at between 10.30 - 11.00 on September 2.
