According to NRT news agency, Turkish armed units entered the village of Shapan in Sidekan region of South Kurdistan on September 27.
Footage obtained by NRT Digital Media shows dozens of Turkish soldiers, several military vehicles, and two excavators inside Shapan village northeast of Hewler (Erbil).

Turkish forces entered the village with heavy ammunition on the pretext of opening the border crossings located between South Kurdistan and Hakkari’s Şemdinli district in North Kurdistan.
It is yet not clear if the Turkish army will build a base in the mentioned area.
