Turkish army hiding its losses in Şemdinli

The Turkish army is reported to be suffering heavy losses at the hands of HPG guerrillas in Şemdinli, and targeting civilians following their defeat and losses.

As the Nalin Muş and Bedran Gundikremo Initiative launched by the guerrilla forces continues, reports say that the Turkish army is suffering heavy losses in the rural areas of Hakkari’s Şemdinli district.

According to local sources, Turkish military forces have started to exert pressure on the local people and conduct mass detention operations in the wake of the recent losses they have suffered at the hands of the guerrilla forces.

A group of special unit members left their arms and fled their position in the countryside of Şemdinli after mistaking a tire blowout of a civilian car for a bombing. It took some time for the special unit to turn back to their emplacement after finding out about the incident.
