Turkish army suffers casualties in clash in Şırnak countryside

Reports are coming through of clashes between guerrilla forces and the Turkish army in Şırnak countryside.

According to local sources speaking to ANF, fighting erupted between guerrilla forces and the Turkish army that launched an operation in Faraşin region in the countryside of Beytüşşebap district in Şırnak province.

Sources report dead and wounded soldiers as a result of the fighting, after which a military convoy of 40 vehicles has been dispatched to Beytüşşebap district.

On the other hand, the Turkish army is preparing for an operation in Kaşura region in Şırnak’s Uludere district. A large number of village guards -local groups armed by the State to fight against the Kurds- are gathering in Turkish outposts to participate in the operation.
