Turkish army suffers heavy casualties in Agri, Hakkari and Siirt

People’s Defence Forces (HPG) guerrillas killed at least 11 Turkish soldiers in Hakkari, Siirt and Agri provinces.
According to the information provided by HPG Press and Communication Centre, guerrillas carried out actions against Turkish army in Hakkari's Çelê (Çukurca), Şemzinan (Şemdinli) and Gever (Yüksekova) districts.
ACTIONS IN HAKKARI
On October 6, at 10.00, guerrillas hit Turkish army soldiers positioned on the top of the Kurê Mizgeftê hill in Şemzinan. One soldier was killed and five soldiers were wounded in the action.
Kurdish guerrillas hit Turkish army positions in Martyr Diren hill near the Koordine hill in Çelê (Çukurca) on the same day. HPG reported one position was destroyed and one soldier killed.
On the same day, at around 16:30, guerrillas killed another soldier in Martyr Bager hill of Gever.
Guerrillas targeted a group of soldiers who were providing security for the construction of Gunde Aliyawa outpost in Gever. One soldier was killed.
EIGHT SOLDIERS KILLED IN AGRI
Kurdish guerrillas targeted an armoured patrol vehicle in Ağrı's Bazid (Doğubeyazit) district. The panzer was totally destroyed and eight Turkish soldiers were identified killed.
HPG also stated that on October 5, the Turkish army launched an operation with the participation of thousands of soldiers and village guards in the Qelenis area of Baykan province of Siirt.
On October 7 at 15.00, guerrillas organized two actions against the operation units. The number of dead and wounded soldiers in the actions could not be determined.
