Turkish attacks on Medya Defense Zones continue
HPG Press Centre reported that the occupying Turkish army carried out aerial and ground attacks against Medya Defense Zones between April 9-12.
HPG Press Centre shared the following information concerning the large-scale Turkish attacks on the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq) between April 9-12.
“On April 9 and 10, between 20:00 and 21:30, the Girê Hakkarî area in the Metîna region was bombed with howitzers fired from Turkish outposts on the border line.
On April 10, between 15:00 and 18:10, the Werxelê area in the Avaşîn region was bombed by howitzers fired from Turkish military outposts on the border and by fighter jets 3 times. On the same day, at 18:25, the Kunishka area in the Zap region was bombed by Turkish fighter jets.
On April 11, between 19:00 and 06:30, the Girê Hakkarî area in the Metîna region was bombed by howitzers fired from Turkish outposts on the border and by fighter jets 7 times.
On April 11, between 20:30 and 20:45, the Çemço, Şehîd Şahin, Kurojahro, Karker areas in the Zap region and the Werxelê area in Avaşîn were bombed 9 times by Turkish fighter jets.
On April 12, between 18:30 and 19:30, the Girê Hakkari area in the Metîna region was bombed with howitzers fired from Turkish outposts on the border. On the same day, at night, Turkish helicopter activity was reported over the Mervanos area of the Avaşîn region.”
