In İdil district of Şırnak where a state of siege continues for 7 days, state forces have started a fresh wave of attacks against Yeni and Turgut Özal neighborhoods which are protected by local units of self-defense for self-rule.

While the district remained in silence since last night, huge blasts have occurred in the neighborhoods upon the heavy aggression launched by state forces early this morning.

A number of armored vehicles are deployed in the town centre where clashes are taking place in some areas.

In Atakent neighborhood where there are no trenches or barricades, two ill people by the name of Haşim Okuş and M. Sadık Bozderi who are in urgent need of treatment are waiting for an ambulance for three days.

While the condition of both is reported to be deteriorating, residents have repeatedly called for an ambulance which was however not sent to the scene for “security reasons”.
