The occupant Turkish state has increased its attacks against southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq.
Turkish warplanes have bombed the surroundings of Zergeli and Bragskan villages in Qandil region at around 11:18 on Friday.
The air raid did not result in casualties but caused great material damage in the vineyards and orchards of the local people and forested areas. Many orchards were reduced to ashes as a result of the fire started by the shelling.
Speaking to ANF about the bombardment, Kurdistan Free Society Movement (Tevgera Azadiya Civaka Kurdistanê) member Haci Nuredin condemned the attacks of the occupant Turkish state.
Nuredin said; “The Turkish state is targeting civilians and civilian settlements, hitting and destroying the ineyards and orchards of the local people. The goal of these attacks is to displace the people but we will never leave our lands and never allow the invaders to pass.”
Nuredin stressed that the attacks of the Turkish state will never intimidate the people of the region, adding; “As always, we, the people of South Kurdistan, will be standing behind the guerrilla and Kurdish freedom struggle. Everyone should know this. We call on all our people to stand with the people of Qandil and support them.”
