The forest fires started as part of the Turkish army operations in Dersim have spread throughout the city as of last night. The fires continue in the central Kutudere, Harsi, Areki and Zargovit areas as well as the Ahpanos region in the Ovacik dsitrict. The fires started in hundreds of hectares of land, and are spreading. In the central Pilvenk region another forest fire started today.

The operation launched last night in the Mazgirt district has caused a fire between the Kale and Geban areas. The fire continues to burn near the Kale village and entry to the village is restricted.
