The Turkish state's battle against the cemeteries of fallen Kurdish freedom fighters continues.
Soldiers of the Turkish army have this time demolished the 'Mawa Cemetery' of PKK guerrillas located in the triangle area between Siirt, Mardin and Batman.
The attack on the cemetery came after the detention of human shields who were holding vigil to protect the graveyard of the Kurdish martyrs that fought and died for their freedom and rights.
Following the detention of human shields, who are among the major groups targeted in recent mass detention operations, soldiers entered the cemetery and demolished the graves with diggers.
According to reports, a clash erupted between HPG guerrillas and soldiers destroying the sacred place.
Soldiers have also blocked all the roads leading to the cemetery area.
