Turkish soldiers have started to demolish civilian houses in Helhel village of Amed's Hazro district.
As military operations in Amed's Licê, Karaz (Kocaköy) and Hazro (Hezro) districts continue, Turkish military forces raided the Çiftlibahçe (Helhel) village of Hazro district with construction equipment last night and forced people to leave the village “for security reasons”.
Soldiers seized 12 houses in the village and forced the household out. Those objecting to the forced evacuation faced threats with guns and arrests.
Several other houses have been torn down with construction equipment. In addition, soldiers have blocked the entry and exit points in the village.
Relatives of the villagers voice concern over the residents' safety of life amid the intensified military activities and disruption of communication networks.
