Turkish soldiers raid a village of Silopi

Turkish soldiers raided the village of Bostanlı in Şırnak’s Silopi district and conducted a search in several villages.

The village of Bostanlı in Şırnak’s Silopi district has been raided by Turkish soldiers for the second time this week. Power was cut in the village before the raid conducted Wednesday evening.

Soldiers raided the home of Benzer family and searched for Sabahattin Benzer who was not detained because he was not home.

During the previous raid on the village which borders Rojava (western Kurdistan), Rıdvan and Hüsnü Ekemen were taken into custody and jailed later.

In connection with the previous raids on the village, village headman Mehmet Efelti and residents Şaban Uzan, Hulki Nas, Emin İlimen, Mustafa Efelti and many others were arrested.
