Thousands of living beings, trees and plants have burned to ashes in the forests of Dersim province that are being devoured in flames caused by the bombardments of Turkish soldiers for days. The flames, which the citizens of Dersim have not been allowed intervene, were finally washed away thanks to the heavy rainfall.
Turkish Gendarmerie Special Operations Battalion Command in Geyiksuyu village launched a wave of artillery attacks on the nearby forested land as of early hours Thursday morning.
Troops at the 51st Internal Security Brigade in Hozat district also continue their artillery attacks on the surrounding rural areas, which started yet another wildfire on Thursday.
On the other hand the fire raging around the Karşılar Gendarmerie Outpost Command for two whole weeks has been put out by the villagers. Turkish soldiers are targeting this area with mortar fire once again.
