Many tanks have moved into the town centre of Silvan (Farqin) district of Amed province, where a curfew has been put into effect as of this morning.
Following the police announcements from armoured vehicles warning people not to go out in the streets, the neighbourhoods of Tekel, Konak, Feridun and Mescid have been blockaded by Turkish security forces.
Local sources told that the tanks are bombing the barricades laid at the entrance of Tekel neighbourhood. While artillery fire from tanks continues, snipers have been positioned on high buildings.
In the meantime, the resistance of local people against the attacks by Turkish state forces also continues.
