Turkish warplanes shelled Rêkan and Nerwê villages in Southern Kurdistan, as result of three civilians lost their lives, bodies of whom reportedly burned completely.
Turkish fighter jets carried out a bombardment on the rural areas of Rêkan and Nerwê villages in Sheladize town of Amadiya district in Southern Kurdistan last night.
According to the reports, the aerial strikes targeted a small group of local people who were on their way home from their vineyards at around 21:00 Tuesday evening.
Out of the 7 people targeted in the attack, 3 lost their lives, 1 got critically wounded and the aftermath of the remaining 3 is unknown.
The NRT television based in Southern Kurdistan reported that inhabitants of Rêkan and Nerwê villages wanted to go to the scene after the incident but couldn’t as airstrikes continued for a long while.
Citing the local people, NRT reporter for Sheladize stated that bodies of the three slain civilians burned completely and were unrecognizable.
The Turkish state’s air strikes on Southern Kurdistan have claimed the lives of 20 civilians since July 24, 2015.
