Two locals tortured to death by state forces in Lice
Two people opposing military operations were tortured to death by soldiers in the Mehlê hamlet of Amed's Lice district which is under a siege of Turkish forces.
Two people opposing military operations were tortured to death by soldiers in the Mehlê hamlet of Amed's Lice district which is under a siege of Turkish forces.
Earlier today, some 20 locals wanted to go to a scene of clashes 200 meters to the Mehlê hamlet of Kerwas (Yalaza) village in Amed's Lice district. The civilians were stopped and obstructed, and furthermore tortured by special operations police and soldiers. According to villagers, 2 of these people were tortured to death.
Villagers told that; “These 2 people from among the 20 people on their way to the clashes area were taken to another location after being stopped by soldiers. Their heads were kept in water as they were tortured. After the torture, soldiers posed with their feet on the heads of the two locals they murdered.”
On the other hand, the fire started in the operation area has almost reached the village. Locals have reiterated their call for urgent action for the babies and elders heavily affected by the smoke from the fire.
