Workers of the free press who expose the genocidal attacks of state forces in the Kurdish region are facing an increasing repression and attack in line with the AKP / Palace instructions.

DİHA reporters Nedim Türfent and Şermin Soydan have been detained in the province of Van.

Türfent, who had been continuously targeted by state forces before, was detained after state forces stopped the car he was travelling in at the entrance of Van city.

Soydan was, on the other hand, detained while on her way to a news coverage.

Initial reports say that both have been detained within the scope of an investigation and taken to the anti-terror branch in the central Edremit district.
