Turkish media reported that an explosive planted near Sentepe military base in the countryside of Hakkari’s Çukurca district went off Friday afternoon, killing two soldiers and wounding one other.

The dead soldiers were identified as sergeant Tolga Pehlivan and specialized sergeant Anıl Yalap, while one specialized sergeant got wounded.
