The vigil action launched at Martyr Rustem Cudi Refugee Camp (Maxmur) on 20 July 2023 to lift the aggravated isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to ensure his physical freedom continues on its 417th day. The vigil was taken over by the 82nd group.
Following a minute of silence in memory of all Kurdistan freedom martyrs at the Martyr Families Institution, Süleyman Şaxi gave a speech on behalf of the 81st group at the handover ceremony.
Süleyman Şaxi saluted the camp people and activists present at the ceremony, and said: "What we have done for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Öcalan is not enough. Therefore, we must continue our actions until our Leader is released."
