Violent clashes are taking place between state and YPS forces in Hakkari’s Gever district. Tanks and armored vehicles were dispatched to the neighborhoods from outposts in Şemdinli and Gever, while the village of Dara was surrounded yesterday evening.

The village was raked after being bombed and people were informed that there was an ongoing “search mission” in the village in the morning hours. Hundreds of villagers were housebound and state forces reportedly detained a wounded man. Eye witnesses say that they heard 4 gun shots after state forces took the wounded man into an armored vehicle.

The villagers suspect the wounded man to have been executed as the siege of the village continues.
