As of Friday morning, 170,000 officers and members of Peshmerga and security forces will be able to vote for parliamentary elections.
The polling stations are open until 6 pm. While Hewler witnesses the highest distribution of votes, 76.253 Peshmergas and officers are eligible to vote in other regions.
The general election in the Kurdistan region will take place on Sunday the 30th of September.
