The 'Wrath of Euphrates' initiative for the liberation of Raqqa continues. The fighters that participate in the initiative expressed their excitement at getting closer to their homes. One of such fighters is Abdullah Abdullatif, also known as Ebû Neşat, whose mother is a Kurd and father is an Arab.

The 'Wrath of Euphrates' initiative continues as fighters advance towards Raqqa city. SDF, YPG and YPJ forces advance from two directions, one from Ayn Îsa and the other from Siluk, have already cleared many villages and hamlets from ISIS gangs, and provide local civilians with food and security.

Arabs make up the majority of these forces, many of who are from Raqqa. Fighters get more and more excited as they get closer to their homes and lands, and Ebû Neşat is one of these fighters. From a Kurdish mother and Arab father, Ebû Neşat is from Raqqa and joined the SDF after taking refuge in Girê Spî when his family had enough of ISIS cruelty.

Ebû Neşat is enraged by ISIS gangs’ cruelty and fake religiosity, and said “We were living a life of a prison when we were in Raqqa. They made us do things that have nothing to do with Islam.” Ebû Neşat noted that it has been difficult to be away from his land because of the gangs, but is excited to be advancing towards Raqqa now as a freedom fighter.
