A large group of people came together in the Kanî neighborhood of Hewlêr’s Soran district and protested the lack of services in the district.
Protesters cut off the road between Soran and Bradost and stated that the authorities are not solving the issues with roads, power, water or sewage.
Despite police obstruction, the protesters held their ground. District administrators arrived at the protest on the protesters’ demand and heard the concerns.
Diyana district administrator Mexdid Meruf listened to the protesters and said the reason the roads can’t be paved and services can’t be provided is the financial crisis.
The protesters dispersed after meeting with the district administrators.
