SDF commander Ebû Feyad announced that ISIS gangs were trying to escape the clashes in SDF uniforms, and said that SDF would target the gangs everywhere.
SDF Commander Ebû Feyad evaluated Operation Liberate North Raqqa to ANF. Ebu Feyad stated that Raqqa is a strategic city connecting major Syrian cities and Iraqi cities such as Mosul and Baghdad, and the operation was launched with this aspect in mind.
Ebû Feyad said that the operation was carried out in three different directions (Eyn İsa, Nexil region and the 93rd Brigade), in response to the request of the region’s people.
The SDF commander announced that the strategic villages of Qirtaca, Fatsa, Hedriyat Xelîl, Nemrûdiyê, Hîşê, Indibên, and Mitemesric have been liberated, many ISIS gangs have been killed and dozens have been injured so far. Ebû Feyad noted that ISIS gangs have been receiving heavy blows and trying to escape the clashes in SDF uniforms.
The SDF commander criticized the racist and misleading coverage of the operation in Turkish and Arab press, and underlined that the SDF has never approached peoples or the region in a racist manner. Ebû Feyad said that the news in Turkish media suggesting that 300 SDF fighters died during the first day of the operation were false, and the news in Arab media suggesting that the SDF was using North Raqqa for its own purposes were incorrect and racist.
Ebû Feyad stated that SDF was the sole representative of peoples in Syria, and includes different peoples, faiths and cultures. The SDF commander said that the interests of peoples in Syria was the priority of SDF forces, and emphasized that they would target ISIS gangs everywhere and construct Democratic Syria.
