Whereabouts of a civilian who was detained after the extrajudicial killing of 4 people in Kızıltepe 2 days ago, remains undisclosed.

In the evening of 12 January, special operation police executed 4 people in Turgut Özal neighborhood of Mardin's Kızıltepe district. Two of these were targeted while on move in a car, and the other two, who are women, were murdered in a house.

A civilian by the name of Mahmut Eren had been detained in his house in the wake of the extrajudicial killings that night. Whereabouts of the man, who is reported to own the car targeted by police, remains undisclosed since. Those killed in the car are DBP Kızıltepe district executive Cengiz Erdem and Selahattin Aras.
