Wildfire in Lice grows amid intensified artillery attacks

The forest fires under the guise of “military operations” have raged on for months. The people want to intervene by their own means but are prevented by the state forces.

The fire caused by artillery attacks of the Turkish army in the countryside of Amed’s Lice district 4 days ago is growing.

According to reports, the local people are not allowed to intervene with the wildfire in Sise region as soldiers are preventing them from leaving their houses.

Reports suggest that artillery attacks of the Turkish army have intensified and the road leading to Lice has been blocked today following the bombing that targeted the gendarmerie station.
