Turkish troops launched an operation near the village of Çalı (Cale) in Mardin’s Nusaybin district Monday morning.

Reports from the region suggest that Turkish soldiers set fire to areas in the operation zone and the fire is spreading towards the Çalı village. Local people voice concerns over the growing fire, stating that they are not allowed to stop the fire.

On the other hand, the fire in another military operation zone in the countryside of Dersim province progresses towards the city center on the fourth day. The people here are not allowed to stop the fire from spreading either as it approaches the civilian settlements.
