Police forces attacked a group of demonstrators in the mainly Kurdish city Amed (Diyarbakır) yesterday evening.

Dozens of youths staged a demo in Bağlar district of Amed yesterday evening to protest the Turkish state terror in Şırnak's Cizre district. The armed attack by police left two youths wounded.

Young woman Ruken Demir who was taken to Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital lost her life later while receiving treatment here.

The other youth wounded in the attack remains unidentified and no information is yet available as to which hospital he/she was taken to.
