The hunger strike launched in Hewler under the lead of the HDP Bashurê Kurdistan Representation Office has reached its 11th day and women have taken over the protest.

The protest launched after Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Co-chair and HDP MP Leyla Guven went on a hunger strike has reached its 11th day.

HDP Bashurê Kurdistan Representative Muzeyen Gunes said, “We will continue our hunger strike we launched against the isolation imposed upon Leader Apo and to support Leyla Guven’s protest, with resolve. We will continue until we hear from Leader Apo.”

Gunes pointed out that Öcalan has a very important role for women.
