The Operation Wrath of Euphrates launched 4 days ago by SDF, YPG and YPJ fighters to liberate Raqqa has continued on track until now.
The Wrath of Euphrates Operation Room fighters in the Raqqa liberation operation spoke to ANF.
Wrath of Euphrates Operation Room fighters Mohammed El Yasser and Ebu Hesen stated that the Raqqa liberation operation launched on November 5 had reached day 4 and they continued to march towards victory and freedom step by step.
Fighter Mohammed El Yasser stated that Raqqa is a geographically and strategically important city in Syria and recalled that Raqqa was one of the largest cities in Syria after Manbij and Aleppo.
Mohammed El Yasser pointed out that Raqqa was also a city with a strong and important historic background and that the city was still an important passage and a center for agriculture and trade like it had been in history.
Mohammed El Yasser said Raqqa was a city where groups of different ethnicities and faiths lived together and was invaded by ISIS gangs in 2014 due to the chaos and conflict process following the Syrian revolution was sabotaged by regional and international powers.
Mohammed El Yasser said that after the ISIS gangs invaded the city, they tried to turn Raqqa into a monotone city, and thus groups of different ethnicities and faiths were exiled and massacred. He concluded his speech by stating that the city had taken on a monochrome, single-faith, single-ethnicity, single-sect, radical Islamist and racist character after the ISIS invasion.
Another Wrath of Euphrates Action Room fighter Ebu Hesen said the SDF and its constituents were the true revolutionary democratic forces in Syria, that these forces had experience in fighting against gang groups and thus were the only force that can lead the liberation of Raqqa.
Ebu Hesen also pointed out that ISIS gangs would be dealt a heavy blow with the liberation of Raqqa and that the liberation of Raqqa would cause great changes in Syria in the political sphere as well.
