30 year old Yalavuz is a father of 4. He was shot in his left shoulder on June 19 by some soldiers on an operation, and then was taken to a court after his treatment ended on June 25, to be released on probation and on condition that he not leave the country. Osman Yalavuz has been detained again yesterday and has been transferred to Lice.
The Yalavuz family is unable to contact Osman Yalavuz and say they fear for his life. Osman Yalavuz was detained in his wounded state in the Diyarbakır Province Gendarmerie Outpost and was transferred to Lice District Gendarmerie Command by helicopter late last night.
His brother Baki Yalavuz confirmed that he was in Lice and stated that his health wasn’t good, as his treatment had just ended. The brother said: “My brother isn’t alright. He can’t be held under custody. We have been banned from visiting him by the order of the prosecutor. The threat to his life continues.”
