Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ) condemned the February 15 conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and all the powers that took part in it, vowing to enhance the struggle until Öcalan's freedom is achieved.
Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ) issued a statement on its website and condemned the February 15 1999's international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
In its statement, YBŞ said "The history of humanity is full of conspiracies and betrayal but also heroic resistance. The February 15 conspiracy against Abdullah Öcalan targeted the free future and success of all peoples. The coalition of international capitalist forces, collaborators and fundamentalists used unique plots to target Öcalan and the free future and success of all peoples because they saw them as an obstacle to the capitalist design of the Middle East. We condemn all powers that played a role or supported the conspiracy, which is entering its 19th year, salute the İmralı resistance of Leader Öcalan who has been putting up an extraordinary resistance against the conspiracy and dedicating his life to the freedom of all people, and commemorate our heroic martyrs."
YBŞ continued, saying: "With his analysis on the capitalist nation-state system that has been a menace to Middle Eastern people and turned the region into a bath of blood, and development of the democratic nation paradigm, Leader Öcalan has become the central subject of the democratic transformation in the Middle East. Kurdistan Freedom Movement's achievements and transformation into a hope for all the peoples in the region, Rojava revolution, great resistances in Shengal and Kobanê, and Leader Öcalan's central role in regional developments have been the most substantial evidence of the defeat of the conspirators. Leader Öcalan has received interest, brought together revolutionaries and oppressed groups, and got close to creating a free future dreamt by everyone more than ever. For the first time in history, Êzidî people formed their self-defense and self-administration, determined their future, and created heroes for their free future thanks to the efforts of people's leader Öcalan who has been held hostage and isolated. The reality of Shengal and Êzidîsm, that have formed their self-defense force as Leader Öcalan dreamt and established free and autonomous life, have become the greatest response to the conspiracy."
Lastly, Shengal Resistance Units promised to fulfill the dreams for a free and autonomous Shengal and called upon everyone to enhance the resistance against Öcalan's imprisonment and struggle until the freedom of Öcalan is achieved.
