YBŞ forces carried out an action targeting the ISIS gangs on Martyr Dilgeş Hill in Shengal's Geliye Shilo area last night. The gangs stationed here fled the hill as a result of the action which left 6 gang members dead and 2 others wounded.
The General Command of Shengal Resistance Units (YBŞ) released a written statement providing information regarding an action conducted by their forces in Geliye Shilo area of Shengal town in South Kurdistan territory.
The statement reported that YBŞ forces carried out an action targeting the ISIS gangs on Martyr Dilgeş Hill near Sikêniyê village in Geliye Shilo at 23:00 last night. The gangs stationed here fled the hill as a result of the action which left 6 gang members dead and 2 others wounded, while the corpse of 1 among them was also seized, in addition to some military munitions.
The statement said west of Geliye Shilo has been cleansed of gang groups as a result of the action in which only YBŞ and YJŞ fighters took place.
YBŞ General Command continued, underlining that; “Some malicious and hostile circles wanted to create a conflict by reflecting this fighting as an expansive attack of the ISIS gangs targeting Shengal. These discourses do not reflect the truth as our forces repelled the attacks of ISIS gangs for the 14th time and our advance continues with success. We call upon our people to pay attention not to the discourses of these circles but to our official statements.”
