Yet another curfew in Gever's Vezirava village

On the 18th day of the state of siege in Hakkari’s Gever (Yüksekova) district, Vezirava (Vezirli) village and Çimenli area, 2 kilometers from Gever and on the way to Oremar (Dağlıca), will be under “curfew” starting from 20.00 tonight. Hakkari Governorate announcement says, “Due to members of the seperatist terrorist organisation escaping to surrounding village and areas from Yüksekova district center in the ongoing operational activities, to ensure our citizens’ security of life and property and to reinstate the public order, peace and security environment, Vezirli village and Çimenli area will be under a curfew starting from March 30, 2016 at 20.00 until further notice and all entry to and exit from Vezirli village and Çimenli area is banned according to the Law No. 5442 For Provincial Administration Article 11/C.”
Two people were seriously injured after armored vehicles raked a civilian vehicle on the village road yesterday afternoon. There is no further information on the two people who are currently unconscious. After the attack, the village in question was surrounded by more than a hundred armored military vehicles, tanks and helicopters, with allegations that there were 2 injured HPG guerrillas in the village. The villagers were threatened and forced to leave with the threats, “Evacuate the village or they and the village will be burned”. The village was included in the martial law areas after the search that began yesterday bore no results.
