Guerillas Amed and Xûnûs pointed out that the state was in defeat, and said “With the involvement of the guerilla in the cities, together with a total attack and defense, we will remove the enemy from Kurdistan and achieve the freedom of our Leader.”

The guerillas who spoke to ANF said the following:

Agirî Arîn Amed: “I was born in Amed in 1991. I lived in Amed for some time, then I lived outside Kurdistan mostly. We were a family seperated from our Kurdish identity. I couldn’t make much sense of the assimilation policies, I was mostly compliant. Much of the Kurdish youth is in this situation. We don’t realize how far removed from our identity we are. As I got to know the movement, I started to better see the denial imposed upon us by the enemy. PKK opened my eyes. You have to be in the PKK front and to go through the training of the PKK to understand this. When we were in the system, as women, we didn’t know how enslaved we were. We considerd it fate. If we had read our Leader’s books, we would rise up against slavery sooner. All women should read the Leader and realize the importance he places upon women, how immensely worthy women are. Then build a life around and live according to this.

We are an insurrection and our resistance is legitimate self defense. Nobody can just sit and wait in the face of attacks. Thus the YPS/YPS-JIN emerged, and is in resistance against the attacks of the Turkish state. We salute them. We will resist until we emancipate Kurdistan. The defamation campaigns have started, what with the ‘surrenders’, ‘shooting each other’, and such. These should not be heeded. We do not believe these when we hear them, because we know the ethics of PKK, we know the guerilla personality, they should not bother with this slander.

With the involvement of the guerilla in the cities, together with a total attack and defense, we will remove the enemy from Kurdistan and achieve the freedom of our Leader.”

Roza Xûnûs: “The Turkish state and its policies of annihilation, denial and massacres in Nusaybin, Sur and Cizre are facing defeat against the Kurdish youth, the friends fighting in the YPS/YPS-JIN fronts. Everybody can see this. The only thing they can do in the face of this defeat is to bomb the houses of the people, bomb the mountains to drive people away from their living spaces. There is nothing else they can do. They cannot fight in the face of this resistance.

Europe is aware of the situation but they are not fully sensitive. All European countries are aware of the situation. The resistance has resonated in the world and the Turkish state’s dirty politics is in the agenda of all these states, but this can be up to a certain extent, they remain silent after that. Because the interests of the states are on the line.

The isolation of our Leader continues, nobody has been able to contact him for a year now, no committees are visiting. Against all these, Kurdish youth, especially Kurdish women, should be joining the YPS/YPS-JIN. We expect them to join the mountains of freedom once again. We expect them to overcome the slavery imposed by the system and see that they cannot be free in the life within the system. We salute all who resist, and we express that we are with them to the end.”
