YJA Star: Guerrillas are defeating the enemy

Speaking about the Turkish state's attacks on Medya Defense Areas, YJA Star guerrilla Kajîn Brûsk said: "The use of both chemical and forbidden weapons by the enemy shows that they have been defeated by the guerrillas."

YJA Star guerrilla Kajîn Brusk spoke to ANF about the Turkish state's attacks on the regions of Avaşîn, Metîna and Zap and the guerrilla resistance that developed against the attacks.

Brusk said that the enemy has mobilized all its means to destroy the Kurdish people and the guerrillas, and added: “This year in particular, the enemy continued to use chemical weapons in the Medya Defense Areas as well as it did in Afrin and Serêkaniyê in the past years. It is forbidden to use chemicals in all wars. Hundreds of explosives, chemicals and forbidden weapons are used against guerrilla teams. But the guerrilla's struggle and sacrifice nullify the enemy's attacks.

International powers, in particular the US and European states, remain silent against the use of chemical weapons. Chemicals were used in Halabja in 1988 and 5,000 Kurds were killed. The enemy, who could not overcome the guerrilla resistance, is now at a loss as to what to do. Now they know that the end has come. The Turkish state resorts to chemical weapons because it has been defeated by the guerrillas. But the enemy should know well that they can destroy neither the guerrillas nor the PKK. We will always continue to exist in these mountains.”

The Turkish state fears the will of the Kurdish people

Talking about the ongoing war in the Medya Defense Areas, guerrilla Kajîn added: “A very big war is being waged in Zap, Avaşîn and Medya Defense Areas. On the one hand, the enemy is attacking the guerrillas with chemical weapons, and on the other hand, they are attacking and oppressing the people. Thousands of people in Bakur protested the use of chemical weapons by the Turkish state. The people and the guerrillas must fight together against these attacks. As YJA Star guerrillas, we greet our resistance people. No one should have any doubt that we will protect our lands and our people until the end.”
