YJA Star guerrillas hit Turkish soldiers in Zap

YJA Star guerrillas targeted the Turkish troops in the region of Zap. In three consecutive actions, the Turkish occupation forces were struck with heavy weapons.

The Press Office of the People’s Defense Forces (HPG) released a statement providing information on the latest actions by guerrillas and attacks by the Turkish army in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

According to the statement, guerrillas from the Free Women’s Troops (YJA Star) hit the Turkish forces stationed on Hill Koordine in the Zap region twice. Both targets were hit accurately in the mentioned actions on March 8th and 10th which were carried out as part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign carried out by the guerrilla forces in the region in response to the invasion attacks by the Turkish troops.

On March 11, the positions of the Turkish troops stationed in the Qela Bedewe area were struck by guerrillas with heavy weapons. Two positions were hit while the number of casualties could not be determined.

On the other hand, the Turkish state continued its air raids on Medya Defense Zones, HPG reported and stated that the latest airstrikes by the Turkish army targeted the area of Gire Berbizina in Xakurke region and the area of Gunde Rençbiraxa in Zap region on March 9.
