YJA Star guerrillas said that they will bring the resistance that developed in 2021 to success with the Newroz of 2022, and called on young people to “turn towards the fields of struggle".

YJA-Star guerrillas Darsîn Amed and Hesret Dilgêş Amed spoke to ANF.

Darsîn Amed celebrated Newroz Day, Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan and the Kurdish people, and said that the spirit of resistance continues from Kawa the Blacksmith to Mazlum Doğan and Zekiye Alkan. Darsîn Amed said that they follow that spirit of resistance and that Newroz gained more meaning with Kurdish people's leader Öcalan.

Referring to the resistance of the prisoners, Darsîn Amed said: "We are entering the 50th anniversary of our party with this Newroz. This year we will break the isolation and torture system. We will ensure the physical freedom of Leader Apo and the Kurdish people. The imprisoned comrades also put up strong resistance."

'This will be the year of successful resistance'

Hesret Dilgêş Amed talked about Newroz and said: "Newroz is a festival of resurrection for the Kurdish people. As guerrillas, we welcome the Newroz of 2022 in the free mountains. We will make the resistance that developed in 2021 successful with the Newroz of 2022. My call to all peoples, especially young people, is to go towards the fields of struggle. Because with this struggle, we will defeat today's tyrants."
