HPG and YJA Star guerrillas fighting against the invading Turkish army in the area of Xantur in Heftanîn during the Cenga Heftanîn Revolutionary Campaign, saluted the resistance in prisons.

YJA Star guerrilla Serhıldan Viyan Çiya said: "We have the same spirit, only the places are different. The prison resistance has always played a role in our history of struggle and in the last 40 years of history in Kurdistan, it has affected and changed all processes.”

Guerrilla Çiya added: “We have been resisting in Heftanîn for months now. Every area in which the PKK's spirit of resistance is found, whether in Heftanîn or in prisons, a stronghold of resistance is found. Here, we struggle to protect our values ​​against all attacks and special psychological warfare. If we have a strong hope of success, it is because we know that our Leader [Abdullah Öcalan] is fighting in Imrali and all our comrades are fighting everywhere. Knowing the expectations of our martyrs and our people and being aware of this necessarily puts people in resistance.”

Guerrilla Çiya continued: “Friends in prison showed an approach that embraced revolutionary tasks, embraced the Leader and took responsibility at all critical times when the need to raise the resistance appeared clear. The place where the toughest war, struggle and unprecedented will is displayed is in Imrali. The enemy reality is experienced in prison in a much more intense and difficult way. Therefore, there is a great will shown. We are resisting in Heftanîn right now with the strength we get from the resistance and the morale we get from the struggle in prison."

YJA Star guerrilla Serhıldan Viyan Cudi said that the resistance in the prisons is carried out with the spirit of the resistance of the 14 July [1982] Great Death Fast, and added that this spirit was exhibited in all parts of the Kurdistan society, from the mountains to the plains, from the prisons to the cities, and that it is this spirit that will bring victory.

Guerrilla Cudi ended her words with the following remarks: "It is our love for freedom that gives us this spirit, the determination of eternal struggle and unwavering will. The Leader is our most indispensable line, our guiding and truth. Without his freedom, without him, none of us can be free in these mountains, in the prisons or elsewhere. We salute the resistance from Imrali to Heftanîn, from prisons to all parts of Kurdistan. Our comrades in prison are not alone. We have proved countless times that resistance leads to victory and we will continue to do so. If the invading enemy is still unable to win in Heftanîn is because of this resistance. We protect our positions. We in Heftanîn salute our comrades in the prisons and said we will resist wherever we are.”
