The People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Centre reported that guerrilla units hit a Turkish military position in the Zap region to mark the 15 August Initiative.
In a written statement, the HPG Press Centre said that a Turkish military position was hit by all-women YJA Star (Free Women's Troops) forces in the Zap region “as part of the Bazên Zagrosê Revolutionary Campaign”.
The details of this action have been released by the HPG Press Centre.
“On August 11, at 06:30, the invading Turkish troops on the Martyr Merwan Hill were struck by our YJA Star forces.
One military position on the hill was damaged and two surveillance cameras were destroyed during this action which was carried out by our YJA Star forces to mark the 15 August Iniative.”

The HPG Press Centre also reported that the Turkish army's air and ground attacks are continuing:
“On August 11, between 09:50 and 10:00, the Kafya area in the Garê region was bombed three times by fighter jets.
On August 11, between 21:00 and 22:45, Turkish helicopters flew over the Tabura Ereba and Mervanos areas of Avaşîn. During the daytime, the battle tunnels in the Girê Sor area were bombed with heavy weapons.
On August 11, between 10:00 and 01:30, the battle tunnels in the Werxelê area of the Avaşîn region were attacked with chemical weapons. Moreover, the battle tunnels were bombed four times with explosives. Turkish drone activity in the area continues.
On August 11, between 10:00 and 01:30, the vicinity of Êdînê, Dêşîşê, Seraru villages in the Kanî Masî sub-district of Amadiya district was heavily bombed with howitzers and mortars.
We suffered no casualties during these attacks.”
