YJA-Star hits Turkish troops in Heftanin: Seven dead

Guerrillas of the Free Women’s Troops (YJA-Star) have struck Turkish troops in Heftanin region of Southern Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. The Press Office of People's Defense Forces (HPG) announced the results of the action.
According to the statement, guerrilla fighters struck a shelter of the Turkish invasion forces in the Navsera Xantûr region at seven o'clock in the morning on August 17. Seven soldiers were killed here.
An HPG unit carried out an action targeting soldiers of the Turkish army on Hill Şikêr in the Çukurca district of Hakkari in Northern Kurdistan. According to HPG, the positions and shelters of Turkish forces were "effectively hit", leaving one soldier dead.
HPG dedicated both actions to guerrilla commander Agit Garzan and the Iraqi commanders Zubair Hali and Mohammed Rushdi Sulaiman, who died on 11 August in a Turkish drone attack on border guards of the Iraqi military in Bradost region in Northern Iraq.
