The Maxmur Martyrs' Families Assembly launched a two-day indefinite and alternating hunger strike on 18 December demanding an end to the isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Maxmur Young Women Organization took over the hunger strike as the 4th group.
Besê Budak, who is in the third group, spoke about the action and said, "We will reclaim our leader and prisoners to the end. The day is the day of struggle".
