The Middle East Youth Conference opened on Friday in Sulaymaniyah.

The conference has been named ‘The road for the solution to the problems of Middle East Youth' and young people from the four parts of Kurdistan, Iraq, Syria, Turkey and Iran are attending: some 30 parties and movements have been invited for a total of over 300 delegates and over a hundred guests.

Panels and film screening

The conference has organised two panels on the problems and solutions of the youth in the Middle East and a short film about youth organization in the region will also be shown.

The conference is in Arabic and Turkish, as well as Kurmanci dialects.

Rojava Kurdish Youth Coordination spokesperson Amed Memo had said that wars and conflicts in the Middle East are the only recipe the occupying government propose. On the other hand, Memo said that peace and dialogue should be pursue in search of a true solution for the region. The conference, he said, will be very important as it takes place at a very delicate time.

"The only thing that could save the Middle East is the unity of the peoples" said Memo, who added that the conspiracy and occupation in the region can only be ended by the unity of people.
